There are a few artists who I feel I probably should know more about but I don’t. I know nothing of David Bowie’s albums. Or The Clash. Patti Smith or The Ramones not a clue.
At least I have gotten around to buying, listening to and loving one Bob Marley album, even if it is a live-recorded greatest hits type effort, Babylon By Bus. Other than the number of familiar songs on the album, the other thing that strikes me is how much energy it holds. For all of the artists I’ve seen live over the years, these were gigs that I wish I had been at.
