This week I have learned:
- how nice it was to meet up with a bunch of people I worked with at the BBC some 20 years ago. We’ve all got a little bit older, but nobody has really changed that much. It was a delight to catch up on what we’ve been doing, reminisce about the past, and simply be together.
- building web apps is becoming a bit of an obsession. It’s remarkably freeing to be able to knock things up that can test an idea. It’s also remarkable what you can do in a browser these days.
- like this one, for example: https://randomthebook.com/2025/06/02/rng/
- I’m still amid proposal-writing. Should hear next week about a few of them, one way or another.
- Today marks three years since I started at Equal Experts. Still the best career choice I’ve made in 25 years.

Nearly done with The Haunted Wood. Enid Blyton had a racy backstory.

Nearly done with Race Across the World, and also watched the movie Judy on iPlayer.
