This week I have learned:
- I probably, in the great scheme of things, underestimate my ability to be creative. It’s the drawing thing, that if you aren’t able to draw well, then you’re not (from school onwards) marked as being creative.
I create a lot of things. - I’m increasingly fascinated by making software things. At one end of the scale this week a toy app to create a random order in which to listen to the Rolling Stone list of 500 greatest albums. At the other I’m tinkering with C to write embedded firmware for a Pi Pico.
None of this would have happened without LLMs. - But with great power comes a great ability to make a great big mess. Great software isn’t just about writing code.
- Putting ChatGPT into “Kenneth Williams Mode” had me in actual tears.
- I’ll be taking the Ducks in Row to the Equal Experts conference the week after next.
- I’m thinking about refreshing my Play matrix for a world of AI tinkering…
