This week I have learned…

  • eventually they break you, the spreadsheets. They get into your head. You dream about them. Spreadsheeting is not real work. There, I said it.
  • I have a potential new outlet for my cards, and I will dust down and play with a bunch of old ones again.
  • Did I mention that the Business Meerkat cards are on pre-order now, with some rather tasty discounts for you early birds! https://theplaycards.myshopify.com/collections/business-meerkat
  • defining and maintaining a narrative is harder than you think. Especially when you need to draw on multiple people to create the story.
  • I’ve been really busy in the last few weeks, and have had to reschedule some of my coffees as a result. That pains me, but sometimes is a necessity. Having coffee, though, is real work.
  • one of my favourite questions: “When did a piece of technology last make your heart sing?”
  • The new format of WB-40 is now live. It’s taken quite a bit of work and planning to get to it, but I’m really pleased that we are giving the show a new direction.

Next week: Deadline days
