This week I have learned:
- that a chance conversation over coffee with someone in San Francisco can be the starting point of a series of actions that ends up with my dad going viral on Twitter. No one saw that coming.
- the peaks and troughs of account management are bizarre. Weeks pass quietly and then things emerge on everything, everywhere, all at once.
- it’s funny how a different configuration of buttons and dials can dramatically change how one interacts with software. Took delivery of a new controller this week (an MPC Studio), and it’s changed how I think of soft synths. It also allows me to reminisce about the fun I had with an MPC2000 back in the 1990s.
- constructing workshops is something that comes naturally after many years of practice.
- it’s always nice to spend a bit of time on the East Anglian coast.
- of all the business disciplines, is marketing the one most misunderstood by those who are outside?
- it was nice to think back to my days at Imagination during one of the coffees this week.
- getting to coffee 100 is going to be emotional.
- football season starts tomorrow. Meh.
Next week: wrapping up for holidays
