Sounding boards requested

In May I’m going to be giving a presentation at The IT Director’s forum (see http://www.itdf.com/Spring-Conference.aspx for more details). I’ve entitled the talk People-Centric IT, and am looking for a few volunteers to help as a sounding board for me to shape it. If you are interested in helping out, please tweet me @ballantine70, reply on comments to this, or contact via LinkedIn. The synopsis is as follows:

“The twin forces of consumerisation and commoditisation are having fast and far-reaching impact on the provision of technology within organisations. As IT departments struggle to stay relevant in a world dominated by powerful consumer brands, could refocusing on people, rather than technology or information, offer a new direction for IT?

Matt draws on his experience of corporate IT, consumer technology, media, marketing and leadership development to offer an alternative mission for a business function that is being now asked to manage without control over supply. He will explore some practical suggestions, with real world examples, on how IT can be seen as a collaborative helper rather than a bureaucratic hindrance within your organisation.”
