Seedhack

I spent this evening at the first Seedhack event, a weekend hackathon organised by the start up organisation Seedcamp. I was doing a bit of thought-provoking, which it’s always fun.

The event format, which will be continuing over the weekend, began with a series of short talks, some about specific technologies some about industry sector issues, to get the creative juices flowing. Pizza and a first phase of skills dating then started to bring groups of people together aligned to ideas for new ventures. Snappy 60 second pitches then brought more teams together, and for the rest of three weekend they will be planning, designing and coding together to see what emerges.

It was great fun, and there was a real sense of energy in the room. It will be great to see what emerges by Sunday…
