When, six or so years ago, I was trying to work out what I wanted to achieve next in my career. At the time I drew a picture, which consisted of a team of twelve or so people, sitting together in an office in the centre of town, happily working together with majestic views over them Thames.
Whilst Todd is based in Hong Kong, and Josh in New York, and the views are non-existent, that is pretty much the team that I am going to be leaving tomorrow. It is a rare privilege in these increasingly virtualised and globalised days to have the luxury to lead a group of people who for the most part work in the same place every day, and one that has enabled me I hope to apply much of what I have learned about good management in the past ten years.
There have been a few things that maybe haven't gone as well as they could have done, but the list of successes that we have achieved since my arrival in 2008 is something of which we should all be incredibly proud.
