It’s that time of year… here are a few reflections on 2010.
The year that Imagination went into the Cloud
I’ve spoken way too much about this, but there is probably a whole load more to come because, kids, Cloud is the future.
Gone
The year the world went tablety
Hard to believe now, but until January 27th this year, tablet computing on a commercial scale was something that was limited to the fairly shoddy Tablet editions of Windows which have been knocking around (with stylus) for years. Yet again Steve and his merry disciples have managed to create a phenomemon based around well packaged technology and incredible marketing.
Not that I was grouchy about it or anything. My twopenneth…
The year I went all meedja (well, The Times and Channel 4… that’s my 15 minutes up then)
Talking about what we did in the Cloud stems from what I see as the future of IT… one where internal departments all of a sudden are under real competition: Porter’s Five Forces (and the news for CIOs)
The year I did way too much travel for sustainability
But at least I took notes: TravelBlog
The year I started WeekNoting
I find it’s a really good way to clear down at the end of a week. (In days of yore, it’d have been a Friday evening in the pub, but I’m a father of two now, dontcha know…)
Try it! Weeknotes
The year I looked up
One of a couple of little projects I undertook in 2010, the #summerlookup seems like a long time ago now that there is snow on the ground #summerlookup
The year I got Twitter
Although I joined in 2009, it took until the Autumn of this year for me to really get Twitter. Which probably means that it’s now desparately uncool and is the new MySpace.
