This week I have learned:
- that I had hit a moment where I was feeling that things were happening to me, out of my control. Time to lean in, and take a role rather than wait to be given one. Hopefully that’s been helpful already.
- the Random talk seems to work. I delivered it to around 30 folk at an event in Nottingham and I think it hit a number of spots. It’s part lecture, part improvisation and part discussion group. With dice. If you would like to know more, let me know.
- change is hard. Pretending it isn’t is harder.
- it was new phone week. Every two years a new device enters the top of the Ballantine-Pescatore device funnel, and they pop out again (assuming they don’t get bashed in the process) 8 years later.
- the new Pixel 10 is impressive. The camera functionality (which relies even more on generative technology) is curious, but continues to bend what is real or not.
- Smoke detector back up batteries. Always at 2 in the morning…
