This week I have learned:

  • the great joy that can come from a new pair of loudspeakers.
  • the great frustration that can come from trying to get modern electronic equipment to coexist with other pieces of electronic equipment. It usually starts with troubles connecting and is shortly after followed by “downloading the latest firmware update.”
  • how using LLMs to decode mediocrely-written corporate documents is great, but isn’t really addressing the root cause issue, now is it?
  • how nice it was for me and Mrs B to get some time with friends at the weekend leaving the increasingly adultish offspring to look after themselves.
  • that a tool I built to help engagement teams check in with themselves still seems to work.
  • the creative opportunities afforded by Spray Mount.

The week in media:

Listened

  • to my new speakers.

Read

  • back on the The Big Con about the consulting industry

Watched

  • Conclave felt timely. A good watch, and a cracking twist at the end. More interesting than the real thing TBH.

Next week:

Proposal writing.
