This week I have learned:
- that it’s possible to separate out the feelings one feels from the actions that one takes as a result of those actions. It’s perfectly reasonable to feel remorse or guilt about the latter. Not so much about the former.
Parenting teenagers is a constant learning curve. - things occasionally click part one: thinking about how to structure work with a client to get more intentional about delivering a change in working practice.
- things occasionally click part two: a very silly idea about a Ducks in a Rowometer as a physical way to think about things like stakeholder analysis. First prototype will be available when some self-adhesive magnets arrive from Amazon. Thanks to Andy J I have the ducks already.
- time with friends is so important. I was lucky enough to host seven of them for “Christmas” dinner at the weekend and it was a delight.
- so much more about modular synthesis due to this week’s WB-40 conversation with Tom Whitwell.
The week in media:
I can’t actually remember reading, watching or listening to anything in particular this week, other than the Spotify Discover Weekly playlist.
