This week I have learned:
- I can context shift pretty well. I’m good at facilitation. Context shifting and facilitating concurrently stretches me a bit.
- It’s that point when it becomes clear that people “get it”. That’s when I get most satisfaction at work.
- Well, that and also getting to a point where people have confidence in their own abilities. That’s pretty special too.
- The global political thing is really hurting my brain. America elects a narcissist, misogynist sociopath and everyone else has to go “yeah, that’s fine”?
The week in media
Watched:
A couple of episodes of Brassic on recommendation. Very good indeed.
Listened:
A first tranche of vinyl albums, because I’ve become THAT PERSON. Joyce’s Feminina, Ezra Collective, Little Simz and a wonderful Brazilian compilation.
Read:
A bit of this week’s New Statesman, and some of Private Eye too.
Next week
Workshopping the length and breadth of English (ish)
