This week I have learned:
- I do enjoy the forming part of the process of team building. Getting everyone together, getting to know one another and getting clear about where we are heading.
- Jumping to conclusions can be dangerous. Chesterton’s Fench idea of understanding why something exists as it does before trying to take it to pieces is a valuable strategy.
- The nature of the markets in which I operate is definitely changing. But cloud-like problems require cloud-like approaches.
- I’ve got 5 minutes to shave off my new talk. But I like it all. This is hard.
- Emiliana Torrini’s gig at EARTH in Dalston on Sunday was one of my highlights of the year. For the music and the company.
- Hanging out in Dalston 25 years after I moved out was a bit weird, though.
Next week: launching
