This week I have learned:
- some fascinating insights into the medium-term strategies for Meta. One thing that is starting to become clear is that from building LLMs to using off-the-shelf LLMs, we’ll quickly be at the point where we’ll simply enable the LLMs built into the products we use. If you’re building an LLM for WhatsApp, for example, just wait for what Meta build in.
- is the biggest barrier (well, second biggest after the energy costs) to LLM adoption the way in which we are deploying it?
- I’m now dreaming about my Manchester Tech Festival talk.
- Ljubljana was lovely.
