This week I have learned:
- the power of spending some time doodling. I had a delightful couple of hours at Natalia’s Doodleledo event, held at Global Street Art‘s quite remarkable offices in the City. A lovely time doing some of her doodle games, ending up with a mass storytelling. Wonderful fun.
- watching organisations from the outside is equally fascinating and frustrating. The sense of getting it and then realising your perspective is somehow obscured.
- the new side project is chugging along, and Nick and I, I think, are making good progress.
- also attended a useful breakfast event, Paul Armstrong’s TNN (making a welcome return). Tom Johnson from Trajectory gave a useful talk about what we can expect post-election – notably a reset in terms of the relevance of Baby Boomers in terms of policymaking and also hopefully an upturn in optimism in the country.
- many people, myself included, are really quite pleased with how much quiet, sensible decision-making seems to be going on in government.
- metaphor of the week: the frankenpig.
Next week: some clarity
