This week I have learned:
- how fun Julia Hobsbawm’s events are. I mean, I knew that already. It’s just she hasn’t done any for a while. A very engaging afternoon in the Cheesegrater talking about the future of work.
- I’ve started a new book project. Let’s see if this one comes to fruition. I’ve been using GPT as a research tool. It’s surprisingly useful for finding things that you don’t know exist, even if you do need to check that the things it returns aren’t just made up. Think of it like working with a digital Boris Johnson, but with more truth.
- I’ve finally found a practical use for Dave Gray’s beautiful Visual Frameworks cards, which I’ve had since backing his Kickstarter. Randomly draw a few cards and then apply them to your current scenario. It’s opened up some ideas that I’d missed.
- I went to my first-ever general election hustings this week with the eldest son (who wants to take Politics next year). It tells that Conservatives and Labour have fielded very naive candidates in what is a very safe LibDem seat (with the Tories as the closest rivals).
- I’m looking forward to the election being over so we can all just move on.
Next week: the Equal Experts Annual Conference
