This week I have learned:
- the value of participant observation. Being able to get real views from the ground in front of people working in the heady echelons of an organisation is really valuable.
- finding a space to talk. Getting that space is the tricky bit. Once it’s provided, the talking comes freely.
- I have a new book idea. A new side project. And this time is comes with a collaborator.
- I’m zoning out from the election for a while. This is the dull bit.
- to use Rich Pictures again. After last week’s exploration with Lego Serious Play, there are definite parallels. It’s also interesting in how giving something a grown-up name can legitimise what is otherwise a fairly simple technique. See also SWOT analysis and so on.
- the outside view can at times appear to be just chaos. That’s where the Rich Pictures stuff came to play.
- I think I’ve cracked how the EP-133 KO2 works. It’s much fun.
- every time I get my shopping checked at Sainsburys it annoys the shit out of me. There must be a better way.
Next week: signing things (hopefully)
