This week I have learned:
- after a week completely based at home, three days in London, two of which were at an off-site with dozens of colleagues, came as a bit of a cognitive shock. Lovely to see everyone, though!
- a couple of people dropped me a line yesterday to say that introductions I had made had helped them on the journey to getting new roles. That was absolutely delightful to hear.
- the experiments with the Meerkat cards continue. I’m looking forward to having the full-sized versions in my hands sometime in the next few weeks.
- non-league football is where it’s at.
- I’m fascinated by the selling process. It would be so much easier if it involved the two parties talking to one another, though.
- realised today from a conversation in the WB-40 Signal group something else I deeply dislike about NPS. The inverse of Promotors are called “Detractors”. Yet saying that you wouldn’t recommend something to someone is very different from saying that you would actively say something is shit. And in our socially connected days, people saying at scale that your product or service is shit is what you should really care about.
- I might set up a campaign against NPS, mostly for shits and giggles.
- parenting is a roller-coaster isn’t it?
- we have an idea for how to run episode 300 of the podcast. The last two centenary shows have not been podcasts. Now need to make it happen.
