This week, I have learned:
- I don’t sleep well in hotel rooms. I wake up early. I struggle to get back to sleep. I spend the next day feeling ratty.
- The audiobook version of Elon Musk’s biography did help a bit, though. It’s soooooo boring. Too much detail. Not enough colour.
- Apart from the sleep, though, I had a wonderful time with colleagues this week in Manchester. Being in person every so often is essential, but it’s also important to make that time to be in person.
- Another few tests for the Meerkat cards. I think pre-orders might open up soon.
- I’m only 2 weeknotes away from the Weeknote of the Beast.
- Talking of which – getting people to imagine evil scenarios is really great fun, and a good way to get them to explore concepts.
- The sheer opulence of Victorian architecture on display in parts of Manchester brings home quite how rich the city, and indeed the country, was back then.
- Sometimes, a piece of work can hang over you. Thankfully, I got it out of the way this week.
Next week: bids
