This week I have learned:
- two weeks off at Christmas is a good thing. It gives a chance to properly stop, rest, and be refreshed upon return. Traveling and spending time with good friends and family helped too.
- the new year has started in a somewhat fragmented fashion – nothing bad, just lots of bits, and this week has needed me to spend some time turning them into meaningful parts.
- my experiments in genAI and coding have opened up new realms of possibilities for me. It’s very exciting.
- I know that printing is something of an obsolete activity these days, but ye gods printers are awful devices with awful user interfaces and dreadful UX. If I could open the windows at our office, the machine would have been plummeting six storeys…
- I’ve got that writer’s block thing for a particular piece of writing that I need to get done. No doubt the deadline hurtling past will be the final impetus that I need…
Next week: Manchester and Bristol
