Yesterday’s coffee companion builds things, and sometimes they are musical.
We talked about:
- being in a position to take some time out to work out what to do with one’s life
- the Protestant Work Ethic (other religions’ versions are available)
- being at the core of a business rather than a supporting function
- how hierarchy-less organisations are different
- building musical devices
- thinking of one’s work like art – the point is in the making, not the measurable outcomes
- a retreat for electronic musicians
- building software using AI
- generative poetry
- changing interfaces to change the way we interact
As a result of this, I went and built a thing.
100 Coffees is an ongoing experiment in being intentionally unintentional. The “coffee” part is a metaphor, as increasingly is the “100” part.
