This week I have learned:
- I didn’t have any 100 Coffees coffees this week. I had coffee (to drink). I actually had coffees with people. But none as part of the project. It feels odd.
- I’m tempted still by the idea of writing a book. It feels like my own personal Everest. But I don’t want to do it for it to become a posh business card. I want to do it because I have stories worth telling in ways that people will want to read. I’m not sure I’ll ever know if I have that without going through the whole ordeal.
- Procurement is a funny thing. Although it is ostensibly aligned around delivering value, cost is the only thing that they can take account for so it inevitably becomes the focus. If that’s the case, why ever spend any money on anything ever?
- I don’t often go to gigs. I love it when I do. Nadine Shah was spellbinding last night…
- … unlike our beloved Prime Minister making himself look even less powerful than he already did by lapping up to Sparky Car Man. Politicians should be holding these people to account, not be their client journalists.
- the adventures into understanding how to provide a better set of consulting services continues.
Next week: a potential new client
