This week I have learned:
- Sparta Prague are my latest new football team. A splendid night spent at their stadium watching them beat Viktoria Plzen in a top-of-the table clash.
- Since their adoption as my latest new football team, Sparta lost their Europa League game. The fickleness of football.
- I do like central Europe.
- However, there are such dark histories of which our (UK) history tells little. I visited the memorial to the down to Lidice when in the Czech Republic, and it was a deeply humbling experience.
- Back to a relatively normal week of work after a fortnight of being in off-sites.
- the wonderful concept of “ticketification” when organisations fall into the trap of everything becoming a Jira ticket.
- how still pejoratively ideas of networking and relationship building can be held by many – it’s more than just sales.
- politics is becoming increasingly hate-filled. It’s only going to get worse as we head towards an election.
Next week: a day trip, and some testing
