This week I have learned:

  • the joy from being able to guide a group of people through a day. But also the deep-rooted insecurity that comes with that – was it right, was it enough, did it have any impact?
  • being able to make adaptations at the last minute is really important. Fluidity in timing, but also making tweaks to exercises all the way up until you are running them, sensing what’s going on in the group and what may or may not work.
  • how I might be over-engineering things and over-post-rationalising them.
  • maybe the PlaySkills model is as much about the things that we need to adapt to hybrid working as it is about the things we need to innovate.
  • the pride in seeing eldest perform
  • that I seem to be having a positive impact.
  • that I might be in need of another side project.

Next week: some sort of normality returns
