This week I have learned:
- the power of shared experience. Five old friends in a remote field, drenched from horizontal rain, all to watch a film that not all of us like. It was brilliant and well needed.
- Hadrian’s Wall is rather impressive. Never seen it before. Not the most ethically sourced of constructions, mind.
- mulling on data is essential. Trying to let it percolate, to find meaning from it. When people talk about “Data-driven” this isn’t what they mean. They mean a machine that flashes green or red. They don’t want decisions and insight. They want traffic control.
- the #100Coffees experience is increasingly making me understand the paradox of being intentional about being unintentional and serendipitous.
- I need to do more walking meetings. Now I’ve learned how to note take post-meeting it’s a much more alluring concept.
- here’s to more free-form conversation.
