This week I have learned:
- That a reasonably well-designed survey can through a bit of analysis help shape focus for deeper qualitative work. It’s been quite a while since I’ve designed a survey.
- The ideas from Nudgestock last week have been sticking with me this week. The idea of winning arguments or solving problems. I do get the feeling in the complex politics of a large organisation you probably always need to do a bit of both.
- After a few calm weeks, it seems issues arrive in threes or fours. Must be the time of year.
- It’s nice to meet with folk who you’ve never met before but with whom you seem to share common ideas.
- It’s also probably good practice to work on the principle that someone has already had the idea you’ve just had. The originality comes in context as much as anything else.
- A few long weekends coming up, so this week Thursday is Friday.
- 500 miles down on the e-bike.
- I’m going to make more of an effort to say thank you to people. Another element of being more intentional in our hybrid world.
Next week: Wet Sleddale and recovery.
