This week I have learned:
- I’m doing some work alongside the day job of managing engagements, looking at how we establish the teams that align the engagements. That’s a bit of a word salad, but it’s interesting to me and I’m looking forward to doing it.
- It’s also been really nice to be asked to extend my role into something new. It’s the first time that’s happened in many years: my last few jobs have been big but fairly tightly bound.
- We had a big networking event on Tuesday. It was lovely to meet up with colleagues and clients IRL.
- I’m really enjoying the experience of creating a presentation on paper, hand-drawn. Next week I’ll be running them live, firstly in an online session for 200 managers across Hays, and then on Thursday in the physical world at Agile in the City in Bath.
- We took a trip down to Dorset last weekend. I’d never been to Charmouth before, and it’s a remarkable place. Fossils everywhere.
- We had the second session of the WB-40 Album club this week. It’s wonderful to sit and listen to music undisturbed.
Next week: Bath
