Magnetic Man – Perfect Stranger
So there we go. 41 songs representing the 41 years that (almost) I've been on the planet.
One of the hardest years to choose for, too, because since the advent of Spotify I've listened to more new music this year than I have done since I was in my 20s. Magnetic Man, proponents of DubStep, basically remind me of those early days of Drum and Bass, and so I'm picking this to make me feel young again.
And how are things as I enter my 41st year? Well, pretty darn good, actually. I've a wonderful family, and one that all being well will be added to with the birth of our second child in a few weeks time. Some great friends who, whilst we don't see each other as much as we used to, still keep in touch (and I look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday night). And work's been fascinating over the past couple of years, and seems to be going well too. So it's all going pretty well so far. Here's looking to the fantastic 40s!
Number one on my birthday in 2010: we won't find out until Sunday, but given that as I write this The X Factor Finalists are currently number 1, it's not looking good.
